road flickering
« on: 25 Mar 2005, 00:20:02 »
i'm again exploring yet to me unknown fields:
look at the screenshot: the road is flickering  (placed in wrptool, not in the miss. editor). all other roads work well.
it is at y=0, aligned to "on surface", has a memory lod with lb,le, etc selections and a path lod, and is coded like all other roads in the config.
any ideas?

If you post the model file (zipped)....I'll have a look at it......as long as it isn't bigger than 50kb.

Why do you need a pathway LOD, the original roads don't have one, not that it should matter, just curious.

hmm, the path lod,... i simply assumed that the AI needs that ;)
ohh no.., i've already got it. it's getting too late tonight.
i have two folders: one with my mlod models and one with my binarized ones to put the models on the island. the config in the mlod folder was ok but in the other one the road was not defined as such in the cfgmodels section...
after the correction the road works fine ingame without flickering.
my fault, sorry m8s.  :-[
