How do you use progress bars in dialogs n' stuff

I can't find any documentation on it but i've seen it done in missions before, there IS a definition for it in tutorials but no one i've spoken to knows how to use it

Thanks,

Progress bars? Like the Windows progress bars? I'm not sure I've ever seen those... I'm pretty sure they don't exist. Or are you thinking of sliders? Or perhaps what you saw was just a picture(s) that looked like a progress bar, that was changed repeatedly over time?

What mission did you see this in?

Yes, indeed Progress Bars,

like when your copying a file in windows there is a progress bar above the time, except the flashpoint equiv, like the health and armour bar in game

I think i saw an example of it in one of those finalist maps, pingu somthing or somthing, dont hold me to that, (or the consequences will be grim *draws attention to dp*)

There is a health bar in ofp? ???

Anyway, there is no progress bar dialog control. Whatever you saw must have been made to LOOK like a progress bar (out of pictures or something), but there is no such control normally. I'd depbo the mission you saw this in to find out how the author made it.

Check out Vektorboson's dialog tutorial in the ed depot for more info on how to make and use dialogs.

Maybe, a dialog with the user getdamage - if 0 then full health bar, if 1 - full (dead)
0.9 then 1 block less.. etc..

You're talking about the MEC finalist 'Morning Dew'?...

The health bar is not made by dialog because player can not 'perform' if a dialog is showing...

It's done with cutRsc and it consists of 40 pictures and one of them is showed on the screen according to the player's health...
