To Terminate Player's Control????
« on: 04 Oct 2002, 01:58:17 »
Hey... I'm a newbie at camera scripting, in fact I just did get my first ever camera set up, barely  ;), But I had my player's character as the leader in a group of three Black Ops, and they were supposed to go in and kill 4 guys while the camera was still moving and all. But when the camera was looking at the player, he just stood there. What do I have to do to make the guy move?  :-\

Not use the player ;)

Seriously, this is the main thing to remember when scripting cutscenes/intros. Never use the player character, since you can't order him around. I mean, it's not an AI controlling him, it's you.

I suggest using a stand-in instead.
