I would like to place a destroyed vehicle on its side in the mission editor. Any ideas?

From the previous posts I've seen before, it seems impossible. Other than blow it up with a satchel and hope it will land right, theres not much else I don't think. :'(
But heres an idea I just pulled out of nowere, try placing the car on top of a object that would be where you want the upside down car. Like, if its a road accident you're after, place the car on top of a road barrier by the side of the road, and it SHOULD fall over upside down. (it worked for me with a chopper and a fence)
Hope that helps

Thanks. I suspected as much. I will give your idea a try.

Check this thread out:

Oddly enough, I've tried to submit that script to the ed depot like 2-3 times, and it always gets rejected...
So instead I have to keep pointing people back to this thread. :-\

I have no idea why such a script should be rejected. Try again, and if it is rejected ask why.
The best was is to make an addon, although that's not going to be an option here.

General Barron: Thanks I will give that a try. I didn't realise scripts were rejected - what grounds could there be?

Ed Depot submissions are checked by the staff between Pending and Accepted just like things submitted to the other Depots. (It was my first job as an ofpec staffer.)
Rejections are rare and usually only if the resource submitted is a duplicate of something already there or is totally shite. If it doesn't work the author gets a chance to fix it before it's deleted.
GB is a skilled and well known scripter and its a perfectly acceptable idea for a script. Consequently I suspect cock ups rather than conspiracy.

In a choice between cock-up and conspiracy I choose cock-up every time. My experience is that cock-ups explain most things (even successes). Most people are just too incompetent to conspire successfully.
