Is there a way to make civllians enemies to east and/or west after they've blown somehting sky high?

Civilians are the enemy of which ever side(s) are not friendly to Resistance.  You might be able to use setCaptive and CARELESS/Never Fire to prevent any fighting before the even that causes them to take action.

Well on the map ive got, its got east. but east dont shoot them at all. ???

Hey everyone!
Making Civilians enemys is easily done! Find your 'mission.sqm' file and rename it to 'mission.txt' to form a Text document. Open it and you'll find alot of jibberish. However, study it carfully and you'll soon discover it contains all your units, triggers and waypoints. Find the civilian you want to make enemy and you'll find a command line that dictates its side. Change it to 'east', 'west' or even 'resistance' and you'll be shot at by civilians in no time! Don't forget to revert 'mission.txt' to 'mission.sqm'. In addition, 'tag' your civilians to make it easier to find them. You can do this via "Name" in the editor.

If Resistance is Friendly to East, then civilians will shoot at West but West will not shoot back.

If you want West to shoot at a civvy only after a certain event, then group the civvy under an East officer who has his probability of presence set to zero.     Name the civvy.     Write this setCaptive true in his init field.   When you want West to shoot at him use the code unitName setCaptive false.   If you want the civvy not to shoot at West till the event occurs then use careless/never fire at the start of the mission and aware when the event happens.

Editing the mission.sqm does work as you say, but its tedious and risky and if you attempt to edit the unit in the mission editor later the unit will revert to its original side.      You don't have to rename the mission.sqm to mission.txt, Notepad can handle .sqm (and other OFP files) just fine.     And welcome!  :wave:
