Loading troops into a helo
« on: 11 Feb 2005, 21:08:58 »
Alright so, everywhere I've looked I still can't figure out how to make a helo load troops. I've tried the load command but then the troops don't get in. I've tried putting the GET IN command directly on the helo (via double clicking on the helo) but then the helo doesn't stay on the ground.

Can someone help?

Give the helo a load waypoint and the group a get in waypoint,Put the WP's near each other and sync them.

Hope this is what you meant, good luck ;D

I suggest you also put down either an Invisible H or an H object to tell the chopper where to land.

If you want the guys to start off in the chopper, then if the chopper is called Ch1 put the following in the init firld of each of the soldiers:

this moveInCargo Ch1

And set each of them to In Cargo  (see their Special field)

Thanks I'll try both of the ways, before I forget, how do you sync waypoints?

top of editor select sychronise

then just click hold and drag the blue line connecting the waypoints.--then both waypoints will fire at the same time--or one will wait on the other to catch up before they both fire--or or howevermany are synced

If you are synchronising more than two waypoints, you must join all of them to all of them.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play
