Question about tank movements
« on: 03 Oct 2002, 17:29:31 »
Is there a way to make a tank, be it the BMP, Abrams or T-80 to travel along the road and not through it? I know all support vehicles go along the road but maybe the tanks can as well.

Yes, as far as I remember all ya need to do is to put a UAZ/jeep
in the same group as the bmp/tank, and then set the behav. to SAFE.

You might get lucky with the bmp alone if ya put WP's on STRAIGHT roads,
then 2-3 WP's in turns, and then a new WP at the next coming turn etc.

try it fer size  :-*

Doesnt the armour drive on the roads anyway if you put it in safe mode?  Even without an truck or some such in the group?

If you have a group of tanks, you may set their formation to "Column". And of course, as tomb and icarus have said, in safe mode.
