Simple question
« on: 09 Jan 2005, 22:27:33 »
I am a total n00b, so please treat me as one (started off today)!  ;)

I have set a little patrol route for two soldiers. At one waypoint, I would like them to take a 10 seconds break, before continuing.

How can I make make them do this?

I think you need to set the time in the waypoint dialog,  'Timeout'.

Anyway, just put 10 in each of the 3 boxes.

Units pause at waypoints anyway, so try a few experiments to get the time right.

Hey, thanks a lot! Just finished my first mission for the Swedish Forces Pack. Will play it online with my buddies in a few. :)

I got the guards working too. Thanks a lot!

Only thing I miss in the mission now is the briefing. I read somewhere that I should make a html-file and I even downloaded a "briefing-generator". So, now I have my briefling files, but where should I put it to get it "integrated with my mission"? I have loads of .pbo files in my MP missions folder, which seems to have missions in them without have separate "briefingfiles"...  ???

That's because .pbo files are "baked". What you need is to find your mission folder, which should be somewhere around users/yourname/missions/yourmissionname and put it there. Simple huh?

Read macguba's guide to mission editing for beginners, in the Ed Depot.   It covers a whole bunch of stuff like this.
