Player/AI targeting
« on: 08 Jan 2005, 06:30:48 »
i thought of this one in school

a script that makes the AI target and fire at the exact same spot the player(must be squad leader) is firing.

that would make it look like AI targeting has really inproved.

it could be done by finding the exact spot the players rounds are hitting and then makes everybody in his squad fire in the exact same spot by putting an invs target addon there and haveing them target it, then when the player stops firing at that spot for 10 secs it deletes the invs target addon.

can sombody make it

Well, I've got no idea how to find out where the bullet lands, so I'm really no help. But some problems I can see are friendly fire, those targets tend to make AI go insane. They don't stop shooting, no matter what. :o :P
One misfire/fun shot could mean some bad friendly fire. :'(

lol "fun shot" testing the latest weapon addons on your comrads, how evil, though i cant help my self somtimes, i wish there was a robot addon, to test weapons

just detect if there is a friendly w/ in 3m of the players shot and if so do not put an invs target addon and make a side chat like.

"Sir, your shooting at friendlys!"
