Rotating camera
« on: 08 Jan 2005, 14:00:07 »
Does anybody know if it's possible to make a camera rotate around a falling object?
I've looked in the ed depot but only found scripts that rotate on objects in one height.

Have you tried this script? I think it adjusts according to the object's height:

Quote from da script:
Quote
The original height value will be
used always. If you want to rotate around a helicopter, and the helicopter takes off,
the object rotating around will always stay at it's original height relative to the
helicopter

But thanks for trying to help.

I know the rotate script can probably be modified to adjust height relative to target object, i just don't know how to do that.

always stay at it's original height relative  to the helicopter

If that is an accurate statement then should it not do what you want?  I have not used the script, I am just commenting on the description.

that means if the original height of the camera and the chopper is 50 and the chopper goes to 200 the camera will stay at 50, i have tried this.

So the wording is incorrect then.  The words relative  to the helicopter should be deleted/ignored.

Well kinda, the original height was relative to the chopper.
