Weird problem with aircraft
« on: 31 Dec 2004, 04:07:37 »
I'm making a mission where squads will HALO jump behind enemy lines and i'm using Toadlife's Real Halo script.
I have no problems with the script that workes fine. but my aircrafts will not do what i tell them to?
At the beginning all workes fine but then my AI pilots suddenly turn around before the trigger where Halo is initialized???
Sometimes they only take one spin and then proceed to there waypoint like they're supposed to and some sometimes they continue flying in a circle and  my units doesn't get Haloed ::)
First i wanted my SF units transported in stolen russian aircraft, for this i chose the just released Our Weapons - Mi26 HELO, Extreme High Quality chopper btw.
This aircraft just kept spinning around instead of flying to it's waypoint.
OK so it's bad idea to use stolen russian aircraft for Halo missions ;D then i tryed with Hawk's Hercules C130 v 1.3 This one worked kinda, it usually takes a spin before the Halo trigger area and then sometimes return on it's flightpath, and sometimes just keep spinning around hmmm... :-\
Ok i just try with standard BIS chopper CH-47 and behold... this one workes everytime.
But BIS aircraft are borring so my question is is there a script that can hold an aircraft on it's flightpath in a straight line?

Got it! Apparently Ofp pilots aren't to keen on heights, if i keep flyInheight not higher than 1500 meters i'm experiencing no problems :-\
