It seems that the scud is a prop then...
I tried that nearestobject thing myself and did not find anything so it's very likely that it does not exist then (the rocket)...

If the missile model has no geometry etc it will not 'hit' anything... That would also prevent it from having it's velocity set properly.. It could be done but the missile would not go where you direct it...
So this probbaly means that even if you could have found the launched scud you would still have had to come up with some workaround to actually guide it...

Actually both of the scud p3d models have a Geometry LOD
They also have a Fire Geometry LOD.

Planck,

Yes, but the "AAA836" (which is the BIS "camreateable") rocket will not change its orientation with velocity manipulation (i.e. when an aircarft type vehicle is given a vertical velocity it will start to pitch upward).  The BIS "AAA836" just stays horizontal!  That is why I am using the BAS_scud.  It pitches and yaws according to the resultants of the velocity components.  The OPR_scud also works.

That is great that you are doing an Mscud addon!  Let me know if you need any scripting/function writing help.

I just assumed that though...

Then they must have some characteristics in the engine that prevents them from being 'real'...
