airlift then paradrop a mech with you inside

would it be possible to helicopter lift a mech, carry it to a position, then drop it with like four parachutes attached as soon as it disconnects from the wire?  That'd be awesome for my mecha campaign im doing.

I did something similar in this mission.  I paradropped. Abrams Trucks, M113s, jeeps, ammo crates etc.  Some with 4 chutes and some with only one.

I would script it differently now - but it worked.

Were you inside any of those vehicles while they were being transported?

Not in the finished mission, but while I was testing it I was, just to make sure everything was working fine.  It was fun.
