Help uploading Mission
« on: 29 Nov 2004, 04:59:02 »
Hello;

I placed a mission in the Missions Depot under Pending SP. Of course, after uploading a found a hidden bug in the mission! I attempted to upload the fixed version of the mission, only now I keep getting the message "Mission file does not exist."

I've re-uploaded it half a dozen times. I've tried renaming it everything in the book, and still nothing. Any help would be most welcome.

Have you tried this?

Yup, and this is where my trouble started. To recap what has happened.

1. Finished Mission and uploaded it to OFPEC.

2. Cleansed OFP Addons folder to simulate a "virgin" version of OFP to make sure mission works right for others.

3. Cleaned mission from my Missions folder and downloaded my own mission from OFP to both make sure upload went well and mission works (Note: I was able to download mission at this time)

4. Played mission and Found and extra addon was needed that shouldn't be.  >:(

5. Fixed mission and used author's editor to upload fixed (1.1) version to OFPEC.

6. After that, all I get is "Diagnostic:   Mission file does not exist. " in the authors section. In the mission section under files size is this" Any attempts at downlaoding the mission from the mission page gets a "file not found" error for the downloaders

Warning: filesize(): Stat failed for /usr/local/www/ofpec/publicfiles/missions/SP_1134_notlc11.zip (errno=2 - No such file or directory) in /usr/local/www/ofpec/missions_depot/index.php on line 211

I've tried re-uploading the mission over half-a-dozen times now. Yet all it keeps showing in the ADMIN/AUTHOR editor rename section is "File Size: 0-kb"

Mission page can be found here:

What is it that I'm doing wrong?

Alright. A couple of more qurstions.

Did you first use the http (the form) of the ftp upload?
What is the filesize of the file.zip?

I used the FTP upload the first time, mission size is 6.5MB zipped

Thing is when I update the mission, I can see 6.5MB worth of data going out, so I know the connection isn't timing out.

I'm not an expert in this stuff, but I think I have found out the reason what's causing it.
You can't http upload files larger than 2Mb and replacing the file from author modify form uses http upload.

Sadly, for the time being you'll have to resubmit the mission. Replacing the file via author modify doesn't work no matter how many times you try it. A fresh submission is required.

I have now deleted the old submission. Here's the info it had.

Files larger than 2 Mb can again be submitted with http upload, thanks to Hubba.  :)

Just remember to wait for enough time to finish the upload.
