Enemy deceived by own vehicle?

I am in the middle of making a coop mission.  While previewing part of the mission the following happened: West was enemy, I was East. When I was in a West vehicle, BAS's wonderful KLR, the enemy completely ignored me.  When I dismounted, they mowed me down. Their SetBehaviour was "AWARE".  Is this just a glitch in preview mode? Why the hell won't they shoot at me while I'm in a West vehicle?

Just tested this and got killed while on the KLR, must be a glitch. Does it do it all the time?

same thing happened to me before, using the civilian jeep (resistance) they walked right by me
probably just a problem with ofp, where the vehicle retains its previous friendly status. I didn't continue testing on mine, so does it keep happening?

Happens to tanks where the dead crew men are inside. ITs still viewed as an enemy until the bodies are removed. Well that's different, but I've had stuff like that happen. Sometimes it worked and they shoot the hell out of me, other times they don't care. OFP glitch...
