...I don't know... it was  just a possibility...
Anyway: I saw DAN's M14, and they have a great (too much) recoil, but also, you can see the cartridge being pushed out from the rifle, very beautiful! Can be something similar?  ???

I made a SAW which uses STANAG magazines.
I used basic model USMC_weapons (c8xm249)

here you have a pic:

Very nice!

Browsing the "Advanced" forums on this site I saw discussion of
"removing and replacing" weapons dynamically (they were thinking
of doing this to model a weapon jamming), so it appears that it
would be entirely feasible to remove a "SAW with ammo box" and
replace it with a "SAW with magazine". Maybe you should think
about posting a request on the "advanced" forum to find out how
to do this?
Sadly this doesn't fix the problem of the weapon attributes being
put with the magazine (ie. load a magazine and your SAW
magically attains the ability to fire single shots and bursts - although
personally I could live with this).

No problem!  :D
I made a special magazine only for M249 SAW, so you ONLY have FullAuto, no single shot or burst!  ;D
About the Advanced forum, I'll take a look...  8)

For those of you who want your SAW Model to change to have an M16 mag in it when you reload it, just use modelspecial.

Model 2 or 3 versions of the SAW, one with a box mag, one with an M16 mag, and one with no mag (optional), then in the config for your SAW weapon, change the model=  part to your box (or no mag model if you did one). Then in the M16 mag cfg, use the line modelSpecial=  and add the model of the version with the M16 mag in it.

*Also, be sure to do the same with the SAW mag if you used the optional no mag model.

Greg147, you're my hero!  I love those pics.  I was going to have to jump in there and say that it is possible to attach the other mags to the ol' SAW.  They come up with these things these days "just in case"!  Anyhow.  Keep up the good work, Everybody!

This is atleast the 2nd time this topic has come up in these forums  ::) ....

The only way to do it is the same way that Mapfact did their XM-8 pack, and they creates problems with unlimitted ammo....

The trouble with doing that is, that the M16 magazine you have used becomes un-useable with an M16, as every time its loaded into said M16, saiod M16 turns into a SAW with a STANAG stuck on the side...It also means defining another M16 magazine which BIS units would not carry by default, which defeats the entire purpose of the scheme.
