Christmas Trees on Everon
« on: 25 Dec 2004, 00:04:36 »
How come around Christmas I see Christmas decorations (see screenshot) on some of the pine trees?  How do I get this to appear any time of the year?

The only way to get them to appear any time of the year would probably be to change your computer date to just before Xmas.

:D Lol, you can't shoot the orniments, the only thing you can do is run them over with heavy vehicles.  It puzzles me, why would they put christmas trees in the temperate areas of the maps?  Did anyone else notice this flashpoint holiday phenominon before?  Here is another screen of the trees at night, the lights even glow!!!

This is ancient news... ;)

If I remember correctly BIS did that on one of the first patches on OFP, either 1.10 or 1.20....
Or it was there from the beginning...

For those who are interested, the xmas tree model is in the Data3d.pbo and is called:

pa_sx.p3d

It uses these textures:

data\smrcicicek.pac
data\str_darky.pac
data\str_ozdobicky.pac
data\str_retezy.paa
data\str_star.paa
data\str_zarovicky.paa
