Scud with real missile?
« on: 29 Dec 2004, 04:18:41 »
Currently the BIS Scud, the BAS_Scud and the OPR_Scud do not fire a "real" missile.  It is more like a drop object, "smoke and mirrors", if you will.  Anyway, it would be nice if someone could make a scud that really fired a missile that follows a real (real in the game of course) parabolic path to the target area.  With such a scud the missile could be destroyed either at launch or in the air on the way to the target (like with a Patriot AntiMissile System for instance - the "Super Guided Missile" script could also be used for the Anti-Missile system).

BAS once made a SCUD you could target the missile and kill things with it, but I'm not sure thats what you mean  :-\

Yes, you can target stuff, but the missile that hits the target is not the same as the one launched from the scud.  In the BAS scud a missile is camcreated at high altitude above the target and it is setVelocitied toward the ground.

Platton Patton has started a MSCUD addon project (A scud with a real missile).  So I will consider this topic solved.
