New non-vietnam textures for Capt. Moores Huey
« on: 13 Dec 2004, 17:59:58 »
Sup guys

I just downloaded 3 addon Huey's from different creators, and I will say this, Capt.Moores Huey FRIGGIN ROCKS!! Has the irregular thud to the sound of the blades, awsome detail, great guns, etc etc etc - but....

Hes got the thing of course set up in a vietnam texture scheme only, which unfortunately limits its usage, I want that helo soooooooo badly in my mission :D , but I really cant have a huey flying around the island in the year 2005 with vietnam marines scheme all over it.

One might think, why the hell u want an old huey on an up to date mission anyhow? Answer, simple, because a huey is a hell of alot cheaper to buy than a blackhawk or an mi24, therefore it makes a perfect multi-purpose use helo for groups that have not so much money to afford luxuries, like the resistance guys, and it really fits in well with their 'budget', try to picture seeing a blackhawk or a mi24 gunship starting to take off, just to see resistance guys flying it, yea right. Then take the huey, change the color to a simple grey, and then see some res guys in that, looks about right I think.

So, a medium or light grey color scheme would be perfect I think, would fit into almost all missions that way (winter, desert, standard) and wouldnt look vietnamish, but more like a civilian version (or blackmarket version ::) )

 Anyhow

Philcommando made a brand-new Huey model with some non-Nam textures.   In that thread I suggested that he reskin STT's Spec Ops Huey to modern colors - you might want to make your request for doing the same to Captain Moore's birds there too.

you just said texture scheme, not once did you say 'logo'
they could buy old stuff that is cheap sh*t and then use it, so, cheap stuff from vietnam....

i'm lazy and would rather have excuses than extra work...actually i can't do that anyway, so it doesn't matter, and i have no clue where i'm going with this ;D.... its getting late  :P
