« on: 03 Dec 2004, 01:44:21 »
Hey

Soz, I thought this would be the most adaquate area to place this, but I got a prob with    "OFP Cool Studio Integrator"    and I'm no computer person, that's why i dunno wtf is going on.

Dunno what I did, but randomly it came up with an error (See pic) and I duno wtf it is or how to fix it, I've tried reinstalling, doesn't do anything.

Someone please tell me in lay-mans terms how to fix it (Or what I'm missing etc)

This is natures way, (I mean the program you are using), of telling you that it can't find the shdocvw.dll.

This .dll is either, missing, not installed properly, or is damaged.
Alternately, the dll is trying to find another file which it depends on and fails to find it for similar reasons to my previous sentence.

It would be best to contact the programs creator to clear this one up.

OK, well I D/Led the file again, & it's got the problem right there, but I dunno how to comprehend it, this is what it says:

Quote
Known problems with OFP Cool Editor 2.3

Shdocvw.dll is not correctly registered (The problem)

1).If you will launch OFP Cool Editor and message like this will be display: "Dependency Shdocvw.dll is not
correctly register", unpack the problem data1.zip from problem folder to your OFP Cool Editor folder.
Try to run Cool Editor now. If ot don't work, continue by step 2.

2).At OFP Cool Editor folder you have now shdocvw.dll and regsvr32.exe. Run regsvr32.exe with
  this parameters: regsvr32.exe shdocvw.dll.
If error will be displayed or program still not work,
  continue by step 3.

3).Move shdocvw.dll to your system folder. Do not rewrite existing file. If this dlll already
exists in your system, continue by step 4. Try run Cool Editor. Don't it work? Continue by step
  4.

4).Move or copy regsvr32.exe to system folder to. Run it with the same parameters like at step 2.
  It must work now!

This problem was only at Win 95

Don't get what it means in saying "With the parameters". when I click on the program, it comes up with the box (See image).

I think it means to run from DOS with:

regsvr32.exe shdocvw.dll
