In the last days I tried to make all my east weapons JAM2 kompatible and I finally finished. There're some not 100% solveable problems of course (e.g. different fire modes, using 75rd drums in a AK-103).
One thing I had a big problem with ise the use of JAM_9x39SD ammo in VSS, AS-val and Groza weapons. The bullets hit much too high.
I finally tested the ammo in the AS from ICP/ORCS and it worked.
I now know it got something to do with the distancezoommax and distancezoommin in the config.
I set both values to 100 and the bullets hit. I finally set them to 200. The bullets hit a little too high at nearest distance now, but they hit the mark at a distance from about 250 metres. It's a compromise to use the weapon up to a distance about 400 metres like in reality. For all who don't know: the initspeed of that bullet is 290!!!
So my question is: Who of you guys can explain to me how the distancezoom command actually works and why is there a min and max line.
