I want to create an exact replica of Lipany on the Desert Island, same buildings, but without the roads and trees and stuff like that. I know one of RADs f-18 mp missions has heaps of buildings in it.
How do you do it? All the buildings for Lipany.

1. Open map in wrptool.
2. Copy and paste, or select and drag.
3. Tweak a WPRtool sample config and pbo it up.
4. Enjoy.

If you don't want to create a custom island, just get General Barron's Editor Addon from the Editors Depot. It'll be a slightly tedious job. Create the replica on Nogova - it'll be easier to get the distances and angles right - then just copy and paste onto Desert Island.

It would work but in my opinion I'd say don't start chucking houses and trees onto the Desert Island from the editor.
You'll getaway with a small amount of stuff but not a replica of Lipany.
It will work, but when you try and play anything on it it will suffer from some serious lag. I do mean serious too.
Your best bet is to create a new Island addon.

i had to add this just for s & gs
i tried to make an editor initialized somalian city on the desert island, and my comp actually crashed because there was so much lag.
its bad, don't do it!

i've made a town that you could use, all the buildings can be entered (all normal buildings from flashpoint and res) with destroyed cars and jeeps. was based around ruins in the middle of nogova. a few of the alleys look like ones off Black hawk down but with grass roads. would look well dudey on desert island or whateva. i'm using it for a delta training campaign and missions if you want it you can use it but just give cred where cred due ;D
