Detection
« on: 28 Oct 2004, 05:22:52 »
Easy question. I'm a bit confused on how 'Detected By East/West' triggers work. I basically want my Russians to go into action when they detect the West.

Easy,
Set the waypoints like S & D or Guard for the groups. But first you wanna put a reg move waypoint right on their icon, the leader. Now have your west detected by east trigger and synch it to the first move WPs on the leaders icons. As many as you want too.

Now when the westies are detected, the easties boys will follow their WPs. And do what you want. I'm pretty sure that's it. :P :)

PS: Check my sig, I'm so happy. Almost "giddy"... like J. Kerry is about the Sox. :D

For "East detected by West" triggers the East troops must be in the trigger area, but the West loons could be outside it.

I think.   It may be the other way around.   Similarly for the other types.

You are right macguba... In EAST detected by WEST, EAST that has to be inside the trigger area. WEST can be anywhere, as long as they have visual contact with the loons inside the trigger.

Yup, that's how it works. I've just been fiddling around with the function.
