Author Topic: Can I make object 'game logic' with Init field in *.sqs script?  (Read 754 times)

Hi. I got serious trouble with this...How can I make a object 'game logic' with init field in sqs scripts? Not in editor...I wanna make in outer sqs scripts.

(because I wanna use 'Zombies addon' play with trigger. this addon just play with game logic object with some text of init so it always play in first start. I don't want play this addon start time.)

I tried createunit and createvehicle command but that's not collect.

Can you help me?

uhm...well, I did not quite understand what you are getting at, but I think you said.......

That you want to make a game logic, through a script?  What is the problem with placing one in the editor?

I am not farmiliar with the "zombie mod", as it is not the most realistic thing out there, and thus you probably wanted to post this on the official forums, but the readme should provide you with the code to call the script with...if not, try downloading from another location etc. and see what happens.

Again, ofpec frowns on talk of things like "Nogova Virus" and the zombie mod, so go to the official forums and yell at them for an answer.

Actually, createUnit works, but it freezes OFP...

As you need to use an existing group in which the created gameLogics belongs to, it seems that OFP can't handle it...

sorry for my english. I'm not american. here's more info.

To play zombie addon, it need input some command line in game. (for addons) And It only must be written in game logic - object init field. That is work. that's not problem.

Trouble is this. When I did like that, you know, script are automatic play with game start  because that addon command line was written in game logics init. (If It can be write in triggers activation field, I can control play time, side or etc. but game logics inits can't control that. it's right?)

That addons fuction are 'zombie find player and kill'. if I can't control that, zombies are automatically find player and kill them as soon as game started. I don't want that. I need control activate time or side...

So I think, If I can create game logic with init command line in outer script, like sqs, than I can control their activate time. (just make trigger, side player, and exec outer script to create game logic with init command line.)

That's all. and I can't find collect answer yet...

ROFLMAO!! That's the most funny thing I've heard!! Like americans were the source to english! ;D There are plenty of other countries out there who use english, like, uh, england y'know? :P And your english is fine. You talk better english than most britts and yanks I know. :P

Anyway, onto your problem.

Try to add the line in a on act field field of a trigger instead. But instead of e.g [This] exec "Whatever.sqs" use [GamelogicName] exec "Whatever.sqs"
