I'm using Igor Drukov's Ultimate Fire script on some destroyed tanks and it seemed to work great. However on my friends computer (he's using 32mb GeForce 2 MX) the script caused the tanks to flash in flourencent colours. Is this a common problem with this script or his card? Have any of you used this script without problem before? Is it likely to work correctly on most machines?

well, i don't know about the script, but i'll give you this.
his graphics card really really rubbish and outdated. If he sees himself as a proper gamer, the least he should have is a radeon 9600. which support DX9 fully and only cost around £70 (that's in pounds). I have radeon 9600 256mb, it works great. It runs farcry and Callofduty on "high" settings with no problems.

so i'd say it's his graphics card. Do they even support DX8?

i am the afforementioned friend and i object to the statement that geforce 2 MX 32mb is rubbish and outdated. it runs flashpoint perfectly at 1024x768 and also runs call of duty smoolthly on the default setting, which is adequate enough.

the best thing about it is ive had it for three years and it works fine

(but fair point i would like a radeon)
