Read a beginner tute. Not sure which is good cause Ive never read any of em OFPEC beginner tutes cause I started with PCGs tute. Anyway, after youve read that, you should read SnYpirs camera scripting, SnYpirs introduction to code snippets, Messiahs Camera.sqs tute and Johan Gustavssons Scripting tute. You might wanna read SnYpirs briefing tute and a description.ext tute and heck, while you are at it, read and download the complete ed depot.

Firstly,

Welcome to the forum!

we'll just pretend that that post never happened.    ;D  Actually the stuff Armsty recommended is all very good and you should read it, but not yet.

Thirdly, we are all set up for people like you.    Head over to the Editors Depot (link at the top of this page) and cast your eye down the left hand menu column till you find a section called Tutorials.   Underneath that you'll find GETTING STARTED and that's where you want to go.

Start with my own macguba's guide to mission editing for beginners which includes a suggested list of beginner's tutorials.   Follow it with snYpir's OFPEC Guide: making missions.     Look at all of the tutes in the Getting Started section:  there is some overlap so find the ones you like.

More important than any of that is just to play around in the Mission Editor.   If you want to see what a finished mission looks like get the Tutorial Mission from the same place.

When you get stuck, come back here and post a question.    Just have a look through the tutes and the FAQ and use the forum search button first.   ;)   OFPEC is quite a big site and its worth spending a little time discovering what's here.

Happy editing!
