picture not found

Lil' quickie here, gent's  :hmm:

When I play something that includes the ruskin AA-trooper (the strela guy),
I get this odd error message :

      Picture equip\m\m_9k32launcher.paa not found

Now, if I click "OK" the game starts running, and the guys HAS got the strela launcher
so obviously the pic. is still there - though it's not *cough*   ?!


What the bell am I supposed to do w/ this  

Well, put a new copy of the "m_9k32launcher.paa" in the "m" folder, I guess  
but where is that, and IS it that one / is there a folder named "m" ?

It's pretty annoying, so I surely hope you can help me out on this one, pals

Doesnt happen to me, so its possibly your installs.  I opened up the data PBOs but couldnt find what you guys are missing.

You could try re-installing and see if the texture copies over properly, but I dont fancy your chances.

aah, so maybe it's a common bug (caused by some addon/upgrade)  


Just for the record here :

• I just swept my addons folder compl. clean from all unofficial addons
• I dohave a backup copy of the picture, just dunno where to put it

...so don't tell me: "its an addon bug - remove your addons",  its already done.
I felt like starting all over (not a re-install though, hence my latest thread)  

There must be some "m" folder or "m.pbo" ...something

Hoho, just what I was thinking.  I couldnt find an M.pbo though.  Get the Manager and have a route around inside the flashpoint.  You might get lucky.

Just found it:

The picture is the one to be used in briefings.

There IS a folder named "m" and it contains all the weapons
you can see in the brief. pad  

but dare I delete & reinstall this "m" folder... ?!  

It would take a de-pbo'ed & stuff-pbo'ed DTA, I guess

"m" is for "magazines", apparently ( ), and it seems that
the strela.paa changed name to "AAlauncher" ?!!  P'haps in some upgrade?

is the "AAlauncher.paa" for the NATO AA, or... ? coz if so, I DO miss the strela pic

Hifly, or anyone - I need you to post me a copy asap of the

m_9k32launcher.paa

It can ( or should, lol ) be found here :

OFP / DTA / dtaext.pbo

...at least, this is where all the other "w" (weapons) and "m" (mag's) are hidden.
Inside the "dtaext.pbo" folder you'll see the two M & W folders.
PS: ya need the pbo-decrypter 1.5 tool to decrypt the pbo file.

If someone wanna do this ( I already did, and its NOT in my "m" folder), I would be
most happy - hell, I might even consider inviting my inlaws home for dinner.

neah, lazzy, coz YOU were the chaos monger whom left me alone
with 10.000 threads back in may/june  :noo: :moon: as if our exams really made a diff.   ( ;D )

nah, j/k - guess what!   I can't use the pic at all, and here's why :

I just tried to copy & re-name the AAlauncher pic. just to see if
it would work. But the dtaext.pbo contains all these other folders & things,
so it was impossible for stooped lil' me to stuff-pbo it back!!!  

  It either left the "m"/"w" folders out, or it left some other part out.

It seems I need someone to post me the whole "dtaext.pbo" thingy.
So if anyone feel like doing a little pre-Santa-here-ya-go, please drop
me an I.M.    Then I'll give you my e-mail adr. where you can upload it.
