Guards leave their post
« on: 19 Jul 2004, 10:20:22 »
I have two BMPs on Guard.  It is night and I attack the base they are located at with, amongst other things, an m21 and a LAW - so the world and his brother knows where I am.  Both BMPs head my way, but occassionally (actually quite often) one of them will fail to see me and just keep on driving.  It keeps going and I never see it again.

Does anyone have any idea how I can bring it back into the action?

Neat thank you.  DoMove is new to me.  I will have a look at it.

Bye the way is there a Command Reference for anything later than v 1.85?

Hardly any commands have been added since then, if any at all.   You could look through the readme for the upgrade and see.

I strongly recommend that you read the comref from front to back, like a book.   Don't stop to understand every command, but just get an idea of what's there.

Thanks again.

In case anyone was wondering, as I was, what doMove would do to a unit that was at a guard waypoint, I wrote a little missionette to test it.  It seems the unit remains on Guard and after executing the doMove it returns to its Guard waypoint.
