Teach me to use your spawning script
« on: 08 Jul 2004, 10:06:30 »
I haven't been able to find any good spawning script that would be "easy-to-use"
and that it would be good except now.

Your spawning script (what were used in BAS tonal campaign) is good and it is pretty easy to use, but i've been having problems to get it work properly, so i wondered if you could post me instructions how it works?

My Email is cappas_2@hotmail.com

Thank you in advance

To which script you are referring?    Who is the "you" in "your spawing script"?      Which parts are causing trouble?   How do you know it isn't working properly?

The more information you post the more likely it is that somebody will be able to help you.   ;)
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

Spawning...

Heh, sorry 'bout that!  :D

I used the spawning scipt that i wound from BAS made campign that came with Opfor tonal or something like that, (can't remeber it correctly). The campaing based on battle between Tonali goverment troops and rebels.

So i opened one mission to see whatkind of a spawn script they use (misison makers) and found out that the spawning script was awsome! It consist two different files, "The spawning scipt" & a script that deleted the dead bodies after they died from the group that had spawned.
I can make the units spawn as i like and everything, but i can't get the dead bodies to "dissapear" after they are dead.

This script kicks ass, 'cause with it, you can spawn hundreds of enemys (in small group of course), and 'cause the "delete" script, even a slower machines could run that mission, 'cause there won't be any dead bodies lying around (from the spawned groups) to slowing down your comp's.  ;)

Ou, i forgot that the "command lines" that belong to that spawning sript, was pretty much all over the mission files, there was also something that brought me troubles, but i got it to work (just hope it works correctly)   :P

I started to use the same files as the mission makers that was involved in that "Tonali campaign" (core/system.sqs etc. , much more advanced that the "regular" files. ;D

If you have played that "Tonali campaign", it's the mission where you start from ural and with other squads trying to take over that big town...somewhere around 5th-7th mission  :D

Damn i can't remember the mission name but it is the first "city take over map" where you will only encounter armed mob that just keep on coming at you from every damn corner. I'm not on my own computer right now so sorry that i can't give the mission name for you. You have T55 and maybe bmp assisting
