New U.S. infantry

Thanks to all of these sweet addons, the normal U.S. soldier is very dall and boring. Come on! The French troops look cooler then the U.S. troops! And everyone knows how "well" the french fight.  :-\

I know there are special forces addons and such, but I would like to see really cool U.S. infantry- woodland and dessert. All that is really needed changing is the units, not the guns or anything. Is someone up to it!

Yeah it was discussed some on the BIS forums...

I personally can't stand the design.. although I guess they are functional from what I've heard from people who have to wear em.. so I guess whatever works eh...  ;D

there are alot of things I just don't like about it

the collar...

the rank on the chest ???

the camo .. i'm just not really a fan of the whole digital camo at all... what's wrong with the old fashioned kind?  :P

anyways.. yeah.. you could use  KMM international soldier pack or the BAS infantry kit to make some of these guys if wanted :)

:toocool:

I'd say hyakushiki's US infantry are just about the best units out there, from what I've seen. If you want to make a mission with US army regulars, those are your best bet.

I'd have to agree with Barron on this one, those units are sweets lookin, combined with the MAF desert armor (they might have woodland but i can't remember), and you got a new lookin army :).

Sigma's tank pack includes some nice Woodland/Desert Abrams tanks. Combine them with the Combat M113s and Bradleys and you've got yourself some nice-looking US forces.

All of these things are included in the OFP:Y2k3 config project. Its a really good download... if you can wait for the huge file (400 megs  :o).
