Addon CTD!!!

I noticed this only happens to some addons i make....usually i would say use inquisitors Ak47, rename the texture paths in the .p3d with a hex editor...and hey presto i got a new addon.......but sometimes when i do it, as soon as i start a game with the addon in it crashes to the desktop.......
what am i doing wrong??? Its only certain ones that this happens to??? I dont use o2...

Buy a legitimate copy of OFP, that way you can use O2 without having to hack around with a hex editor
