AI Path....is it possible??

Hi

I am creating a new island within which i have created quite an extensive farming area.It looks good but there is a problem..

When i try to make units move down the country roads they tend not to move so i was wondering if it was possible to incorporate AI paths into the island??

Any help is always much appreciated  :)

Have you set the land the roads are sitting on as type 'roadway'.

That is a OFPW flag Planck is referring to, and is currently not supported by wrptool.

If your test units are not sticking to the road, first try setting their status to safe/careless and formation column. That tracks on valid roads much better.

If you are using narrow country lanes with hedges that trigger the AI collision detection engine, or are using new road objects that are not yet completed - recognized, you can try the manual AI paths found in the 3WX misc pack to try to 'force' the AI down the road.

Ah, now I see the pic. Yup, those AI won't go down that without some aggravating prodding. That road is really narrow and they're in a combat/danger mode. Try the AI paths from 3WX and see how that works.

thats what i meant about wrptool i didnt think tool had that option

i tried column and setting unit status but no joy
in fact i tried with a jeep and it got about half way down and then went psycho into the fence ;D

i do have the 3wx pack but have never tried laying manual paths  :-\

I will give it a go
Is it easy  ???

It didnt work.
The leader went up but nobody followed.
Im gonna see if i can widen the road slightly and see if that helps  ::)

The paths in the 3WX pack I only ever tested as one single path, not many placed end-to-end. Only one AI can be on the path at one time (generally).
