Coloured words in briefing
« on: 01 Jul 2004, 14:18:54 »
I have seen quite a few briefings with coloured (usually blue) words. I have no idea how to get that effect. It's not really that important but it's annoying me now, I'm so curious! Could someone please tell me how to get it.

Thx in advance.

Well, the blue you get by using the Bold tags on the words/sentences you want...

<b>yourtext</b>

EDIT:
With a quick test I didn't get any other colors to display, at least not with the regular html tags...

You can't get any other colours.    Briefing files are not "true" html files, they just use some html codes which isn't quite the same thing.

However, the blue things that you are referring to are not really colours at all - the are hyperlinks to markers on the map.   Read snYpir's tutes on Briefing.html and How to use Objectives and init.sqs in Tutorials - Getting Started to learn more.

Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

No. I know how to use hyperlinks in briefings. I mean the DARK blue words. Have you ever played sui's SP mission named "Facile Ground"?? It's in the mission depot near the top if you search by OFPEC score, and use descending order. It's an awesome mission. Anyway, there are dark blue heeadings in his briefing.

I don't actually think you need to help anymore. I think I'll just DePBO his file and rake through his briefing code.

Thx anyway. If you DO find out plz tell me though, cus I may not find what I'm looking for in his code.

Hater Kint seems to be right, bold tags turn the words dark blue.

EDIT:
Confirmed, the bold tags definitely turn words dark blue.

Example:

1. I want you to take the lead. = Black text

2. I want <b>you</b> to take the lead. = All black except "you" which is now a dark blue colour.

3. <b>I want you to take the lead.</b> = Now all of the text is dark blue. Hope that clears it up.
