please help a newbie

i just discovered the wonderful website ofpec is, and i firstly readed tutorials that really helped me, then i begun downloading addons.That's where my problem is : i have no /Addons repertory in my /OperationFlashpoint !  
and if I create the repertory it doesn't works !
I have Ofp 1.0, english version.
I feel stupid... But be sure i'll fall in love with you if you help me !

Excuse me if my english sounds strange,i'm french... (i understand english but its hard to speak  ;D )

there is no addons folder in 1.0 you should visit

look for the downloads link on the bottom of the page.. and it will take you to where all the patches are....

you should patch your game all the way to v1.46

Then go to the downloads page

And get the patches to patch your game up to version 1.46.

However, if you want to use a lot of the newest third party addons you will need to get a copy of Resistance.

thank you very much ! but i can't install any patch because my 1985.pbo file is corrupted on my install cd, so when i try to install the patch, it doesn't works... I was hard just to make the game run, i had to put a .txt file renamed in my /Cammpaigns directory...itten "r
But do i really NEED these patchs ? cuz in the download page i only download the ones where its written "of 1.0 required"

From that site you will need to download the following patches to patch version 1.0 to version 1.46.

 Ultimate upgrade 2 (v1.20)
 Ultimate upgrade 3 (v1.30)
 Patch 1.46

You will need to install the patches in that order.
