Tall/Small units?
« on: 08 Jun 2004, 20:39:41 »
[Changed thread name to something less, uh, misunderstandable]
Hey!
What would I have to do to make a new unit, but not shaped like a person (Things like cartoon-ish people)

I had a go, but failed :(

Say, I have a model with arms, legs, a head, hands, etc, but not in the normal places.. The anims screw it up..

Could I get away with just a single anim (Walking forwards).. I remeber the dog addon you couldn't chage stance (Fixed in standing stance), and you couldn't sidesteep etc

Any help?

Thanks!
- Ben

You should be able to do it. But as you said, you need a new animation(s). You have to make your own CfgMoves class, and have your model use it. But i suggest you use the same "named selections" (skeleton) as original game units. It's easier to config. If you dig up the dog thread, you'll find some usefull observations from Suma himself.
