(1.46 ColdWar Crisis)

ive heard that Editor Upgrades just unhides items for the editor from the game..... is this true

ive also heard that there is a list of names for the hiden items, so the editor upgrades arent needed....

i was wondering if anyone knows anything about these issues and weather you could help me find the list so i can make missions, without people needing the upgrades

That's true. The objects have a string name which can be used with the camcreate command to place objects on the map. Do this and you don't need the editor addon(s). But just camcreating isn't enough. You have to use the setdir command to set the direction which the object is facing, maybe raise or lower the object, ...
Everything is so much easier with the editor addon(s), and everybody has or at least should have them. I suggest to stick with them :)

The unofficial command reference has a pretty good list of the object string names. Look in the editors depot.

The only addon that you may assume that EVERYBODY has is the Editor upgrade.     Use it.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

Because nearly all missions need to use an object made available but the editor upgrades.  Plus, its a small file, which isn't hard to download.  You could almost consider the thing official.
