Can 'l svetlo' & 'p svetlo' be used on buildings?
« on: 05 Jul 2004, 13:16:14 »
Hi,

Can 'l svetlo' and 'p svetlo' be used to create 2 light sources on a building?

I've added the following to the Memory LOD of the model:

  • l svetlo
  • p svetlo
  • konec l svetla
  • konec p svetla

(done so that the 'svetlo's are touching the building, and the 'konec svetlo's are a little way away from the building, in the correct direction for the light)

I've also added the class Reflectors{} to the config, copying the Reflectors{} defined for vehicles

However, when ingame, the lights don't turn on at night, even when a civilian car placed next to it has it's headlights lights on.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

From my experience, the thing that decides whether you can use a certain selection or not, is your "simulation=" value in the config.  So you might need something like:  "simulation=StreetLamp;"
But in that case, the building might not work as expected. I don't know if you can marry the two.

 :) you can make the building like you would a vehicle.

 ;D then in the config, just make some cheating codes, stuff like:

hasDriver=0;
hasGunner=0;
hasCommander=0;

etc.   no fuel, no wheels, just the building and some lights  :)
