unit fire array command
« on: 02 Sep 2002, 03:24:41 »
Hi,

When I use the command:

 unit fire [muzzle, mode, magazine]

all I get is the guy fires up vertically in the air, even when I use doTarget before hand.

What is the use of this command? How do I get a unit to fire a mortar at a target?

thanks
Sussmori

That command will ALWAYS end up with a man shooting straight in the air.  It works very well with tanks though.

To get a man to target an object use;

man DoTarget target; man DoFire target

Note that he will never fire at a "targete" unless you use the addon target by Tomb.

Hey there. 8)
Hey icarus_uk I will have to disagree with, when you say
always shot into the air.(sorry :-X)
I have been able to get a unit to target an object and
use the command fire["?","?"."?"] eg.
And make him shoot at the target. And when you re-arrange
the command he shoots in the air.
But lately havn't had much luck.
Hope this may help 8)
