If yer talking 'bout the default streetslamps (like those on Nogovo etc.)
they should turn on/off all by themselves (lightning up at night & switching off in the morning), so
I don't really get the deal here, m8  ??? :-\ :) what the bell are ya doing?!  ??? ;D

I can understand if ya wanna switch a lamppost off at night
(e.g. shoot at it to "kill" it or alike), but this ...?

 no comprendo, sir  :o

Anyho'  - to turn a default placed lamp on/off, use the "object-ID" numbers :

click on the SHOW ID button in the editor, zoom in close to the lamp
and then put this spell in somewhere (in a trigger or whatever) :

Object 124123 switchlight "on"    :) (or "off" )

The "auto" option shouldn't really be nessesary to use at all, to my knowledge.

I want to add more lights.

that said I have learned something, I wasn't aware of the Object part of the deal.

 ::) ah, the addon!

Well, I have heard about that bug before;
I don't think there's much to do, matey  :-\ :(

P'haps try & use that other lamp-addon (the "streetLight" addon).
It's built upon the campfire object & uses the same INIT spell :

 This Inflame True  :o

It should be possible t grab it somewhere a few pages back
right here on this particular board, my friend  :)

Skate on - it's been attached in one of the previous posts;
just scan the thread names - it shouldn't take more then a few seconds ( ::) )  ;D
