Incompetence or Limitation

I've gone through description.ext tutorials and made my own gear selection, works perfectly. However, when I goto play my mission with friends. They can't change anything I can assign weapons to them etc. But i'm guessing theres a way I can make it so they can select their own stuff rather than me assigning it?

I don't know any other way than the group leader assigning the gear.

You could try this:

Place each unit ungrouped, now everybody is his own
groupleader at the start of the mission.

When the mission starts simply let 'em all join into one
group and voilla.

:note - in multiplayer there's always the possibility for disabling
unused AI slots - if you need help in determining who's there
and who not, just leave me a post and i'll give ya further info
on that.
