New Waypoint
« on: 05 May 2004, 20:02:19 »
I've seen someone add new markers to the editor so why not other stuff?

I was thinking a EJECT waypoint would be reallly good. No scripts or anything and when  the heli reaches that point it works like transport unload except the cargo ejects. Another good thing that could be done with this waypoint is to model it after the other system, you put a move waypoint on a house and it lists postion 1 position 2 position 3 etc, so then use that hidden/visible menu to set heli height at the drop.

Can it be done? It'd make my life easier. :)

Like I said above someone made new markers I think it was the USMC signs or markers at Anmacs site.

I don't see why a new waypoint can't be made?

New markers are just .PAAs with a little bit of configging. Waypoints are built into the game, you can't change them and you can't add new ones, except for adding stuff to Scripted Waypoints.

Stupid! :tomato:
I forgot about scripted waypoints. I never knew what they were when I was a newbie and well just forgot about them. Still a eject waypoint would be really good.

Guess it can't be done... :(

hehe - whenever i hear "scripted waypoint" i feel the need
to post a link to a specific thread:

http://www.ofpec.com/yabbse/index.php?board=6;action=display;threadid=13884;start=0

That's the thread i made once, where i tried to explain everything
about waypoint scripted + a few example missions.

If i haven't already directed to this thread  ;D take yer time
and have a look. If yes, forgive me that hole in my brain.  :-[

IMHO an 'eject' waypoint couldn't be done easy to fit
into each situation because there would be a few things
to take care about too - like the altitude or the delay between
them guys jumps.

The eject waypoint would also be only possible in combination
with a script running in the background, which would bring
us back to the waypoint type scripted (or simply to scripts / or
commands from the onActivation field).
