Global Variables
« on: 02 May 2004, 16:15:29 »
Hi,

Can anyone point me in the direction of a list of all the built in global variables that flashpoint uses?

Cheers

There's been a thread here at OFPEC, dealing with those
reserved vars.

: lol - just figured out it was you yourself who started that thread  ::)

You need a link to the thread?  ;D

http://www.ofpec.com/yabbse/index.php?board=8;action=display;threadid=15281;start=0

Anywayz - a good start would be to check out the class tree
for weapons/ammo/objects in the unofficial comref (and off course class tree in the official comref).

But IMHO OFPEC already offered something to avoid using
reserved variables - even BIS supports that thingy:

It's the OFPEC Tag system

http://www.ofpec.com/tags_about.php

For some strange reason, whenever i use my chd tag i do never run into any conflict with reserved variables  ;)

:edit - lol Artak you didn't notice, who started both threads - tho it's
been close happening the same to me  :D

lol Silent Hunter,

if there were an official list, it might have found it's way into
your first thread tho :)

The only official list for reserved variables is, as i already
mentioned above: the official comref with it's commands/cweapon/magazines/units class list.

The unofficial comref, even adds the whole object's tree to that
list, which both may together cover a big bunch of reserved
variables.

I know it's not exactly what you're looking for (example: missionend), but that's all you can get + user's experiences.

Then again i have to repeat meself once more:

Use tagg'ed variables with your own tag, and you don't have
to care anymore about wether the variable is reserved or not.
In case of tagg'ed variables i also don't see any reason for
ppl being in the need of such a "reserved variable list", if it's
that what you're after to do.
