WrpTool .950 "getting started"

I am a total newb at this.  I want to make an island, i'm tired of using the same old islands for coops and such.  I've dled the wrptool .950 and i'm ready  ;D , not quite...

It says in the manual to "un-pbo" every object i want in my island...  All i want is the original stuff from ofp and ofp-res.  How do I go about doing this?  Plz break it down for me, i've read through the manual (instalation) like eight times now.  Where r all the buildings and textures located in my original ofp directory and what r thier names?

i've "un-pbo-ed" all the res files and put them into a directory, the only addon i've "un-pbo-ed" is the O.pbo.  now, how the hell do i get those textures in there?


this is what i've "un-pbo-ed":

anims.pbo
data.pbo
fonts.pbo
misc.pbo
anim.pbo
data3D.pbo
DTAEXT.pbo
landtext.pbo
sound.pbo

also in the "Hwtl file"(located under my RES folder) i've "un-pbo-ed" these:

Data.pbo
Data3D.pbo
Merged.pbo

i do realize I may have gone and "un-pbo-ed"(i'm getting sick of typing that) too many files but I want to make sure.  Plz help me... i'm gunna go bald from tearing my hair out!  >:(

If you run the game with HWTL then the data and data3d folders from the Hwtl folder seems to be the ones you want, although you could still use the standard versions instead.

Unpbo the O.pbo as well......and that should be about it, as far as official objects for islands go.


Edit:   Re-read your first post:

The textures for the original islands are held in Landtext.pbo, Abel.pbo, Cain.pbo and Eden.pbo

The objects for these islands are in the Data3d.pbo

O.pbo holds the models AND textures for Resistance.

oh thank u so much!  no more errors.  I took the O.pbo and the Data.pbo/data3d.pbo files and put them "un-pbo-ed" into a file(new file) and just directed it to the "new file".  thanks agian.

now one more question, am I going to be able to use all the land textures and objects from RES?

Try it and see, if not, I'm sure it can be tweaked in some way.  ;D
