Exploding barrels

Does anybody have a script for exploding barrels?  I used to have one but i went bye bye.  Any help will be appreciated.  Thanks.

Howdy,

I can modify a script I have for an exploding fueltruck if you want.  It will also cause the barrel  to lift off trailing fire, and can burn surrounding soldiers.

The one that i used to have when you shot it the thing shot in the air with a trail of fire and when it landed it exploded.  Does yours do the same thing and if so could you let me download it?

    Thanks for the file.  I like this one a LOT more than the old one.  It works great.  Do you think that you could make the barrel explode on contact with the ground.  I am just wondering.  I think this thing is great.  Thanks a ton.

I can make the barells explode on contact with few extra lines of code.  I'll post the updated zip as soon as its ready to go.

LOL! Ok, having the barrels explode on impact (after all the fuel was consumed in the initial explosion and subsequent launch) isn't exactly realistic...but you can get some pretty interesting chain reactions going.  If you put enough of them out there it's like that chaos theory experiment where you have a room full of mousetraps with pingpong balls-only much more entertaining :D

OK, I figured out what was going on.

Apparently, the script couldn't remove the "hit" EH fast enough, and would end up looping because of the camcreated grenades when they first explode.  I threw in some code to make the script exit after the first time it was triggered bypassing the remove EH if necessary.  It should work now with no problems.

works fine now  :)

The fire looks a bit strange at the point where the barels blow up from.
The way it moves round.

Hi Grendel!

I like this script a lot too!  

Here's a screeny of it in action, I shot all of the barrels in the demo mission before the first one landed!  :beat:

My suggestion is to perhaps make the fire flicker less when it lands and the guys catch on fire?  Also, does that sidechat serve a purpose?  (as seen in the screenshot)
