This is from a book by Tom Clancy. It is about a Spec Ops Vietnam vet who comes back to the "States" and is looking to leave the war behind him. His wife and unborn kid are killed in an accident. He meets a young girl and falls in love. Later he finds out that the girl use to be a prostitute who escaped from her pimp. He convinces her to take him on a tour of the streets so that she can point her violent drug dealing ex-pimp to him, so that he can turn him into the police. Unfortunately they are found out and the drug dealers shoot the main character (the Vietnam Vet) and rape and kill his girl friend. The Vet recovers from his near fatal gunshot wound. He then builds a silencer for his pistol, dresses up like a street bum and systamatically stalks and kills the drug gang that was responsible for killing his girlfriend. At one point he captures one of the thugs, takes them back to his property on the ocean shore and interogates him by putting the guy in a pressurization tank and giving him a fatal case of the bends. I mean this dude was f-ing crazy and he made these evil bastards pay for what they did.
Anyway I thought this would make a good OFP campaign. You're a retired spec ops soldier who is living on Nogova (or where ever). You meet a beautiful young girl and fall in love. Some thug gangsters rape and kill your girlfriend and leave you for dead. But you survive, and plot your revenge. You buy weapons off the black market (what ever floats your boat AKs AR-15s P-90s) and build silencers and install scopes and reflex sites. Then you perform hit and run operations killing the gangsters one buy one, and escaping before the police can catch you. You capture and kill and torture until you finally have the big show down at the end when you finally meet face to face the head gangster who killed your girl. There are enough civillian and weapon addons out there already, so you wouldn't have to create any new addons. Just be imaginitive and creative in your missions. Make the revenge so sweet that it will satisfy everyone who has become bored with OFP.
