Switching waypoints on condition
« on: 20 Mar 2004, 11:15:04 »
-I too need to know how to have a waypoint switching to the next one after a condition has been accomplish, rather than being effectively present in the waypoint area;
 i.e.:

Suppose you're hiding from hostile forces, not necessary on the waypoint location. I even want the "WAIT 'till they leave" to be ON the position of the hostiles, so you know where not to go.
THEN?
- waypoint "wait 'till they leave"
now disappears when the hostiles have left, and the next one,
-"Move on now"
appears, triggered by a "vehicle not present - Condition OK" switch.

Anyone for a little DiY manual on this one ?

Cheerz  -Bye.

Create a move waypoint.   In the condition field write

moveOn

The group will wait at the waypoint till the variable moveOn is set to true.   Or perhaps they wait at the previous waypoint, I can't remember, but you get the idea.

This probably won't work with waypoint types that never end like hold.   You'll need to synchro the waypoint with a trigger and put the variable in the trigger.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play
