Simple weapon question

I searched for any others topics, byt not found!
Is there any possible to Mgun fire in direct position, i can do this with units, tanks, and other armored units, byt the Mgun is not firing, if i put

MyMgun fire "Magazinename"

Or if i want that some units, like soldier to fire m16, he will put his weapon up, like firing the flare, and only then will fire the m16.

Any help, or topics before?

There are addons out with "invisible targets", kind of like making the AI shoot at logics.
Check out the addons depot, or try OFP.cz  

Then just place the inv. target & you M2mg, and make that cutscene or whatever :thumbsup:

No i just wanted the Supressive fire with the MGun!
Like he starting to shoot when you are closing!

Ah, the good ol' suppressive fire...  

It's quite hard to 'simulate' in OFP since that has not been featured in OFP AI code...
But if you would like to have real-like suppressive fire you would need those invisible targets and with a script then craete those targets around and make the whatEverYouLikes target and fire at them (afaik...).

You see, OFP AI does not fire anything that it has not targeted first...
And you can not target something that's not an object...
That's why you would need the invisible target addon...

Yes AI find a target "man, 1000" engage it until dead, regualr machine gunners are kinda inaccurate at far distances but for best results use invisible targets add on.
I have it and it can make infantry, tanks, and airplanes fire at random spots in the air on the ground, whereever. ;D

Maybe I should attempt that script with suppresive fire when I get out of this cast thingy and pyhsical therapy...........................................
