Get rid of the Radio Messages!
« on: 09 Mar 2004, 21:04:02 »

See? Don't look so good IMO...
I know that you can get rid of the text by typing:
TitleText ["","Plain Down"]

But do you guys know a smart way to get rid of the RADIO messages?
You see, I have some radio messages just before a cutscene... And it doesn't look to good.. :)

Thanks in advantage :cheers:

Hmm... That will prevent new radio messages to appear but the old ones are still there.
I know that they fade out after some time but... I want them to disappear faster.

TimeLine:
Radio message          Radio message      Cutscene with text
        |                                   |                           |
===============================================

                         What happens here is that the radio messages doesn't fade out quick
                         enough so they stay and mess up the titletexts in the scene

Maybe instead of the "plain down" titletext by the chatbox, you can use just "plain" which is in the middle of the screen?

Some discussion going on about this in the advanced scripting board as well.

@Korax
That might be a solution yes ...
Perhaps I'll go with that if anyone doesn't have a superclever script at hand... :)

@Artak
Thanks man... :)
Hopefully we'll find a solution to this problem...
