« on: 04 Mar 2004, 01:07:21 »
HI guyz, im really sorry for posting this in the wrong thread,  there are so many threads i jus picked one. But, I am TOTALLY new to OFP scripting. Is there any specific file i can use to get myself familiar with OFP scripting so i can become masters like you guys? Thanks, and sorry again.

Best advice i can give you, go to the editors depot and look at some of the excellent tutorials at Tutorials/Getting started.

First of all,

Welcome to the forum!

Second of all, you posted in the correct way, so that's fine.

Third of all, myke13021's advice is excellent.    If you are relatively new to mission editing altogther, then go to the Editors Depot (link at top of this page) and read snYpir's OFPEC Guide: making missions and also macguba's guide to mission editing for beginners.

On the scripting point in particular, read snYpir's Friendly Intro to Code Snippets and Johan Gustafsson's Scripting Guide.   I they are in the Scripting section of the tutes rather than Getting Started, can't remember.

There are lots of other good tutes, and you should read them, but these are probably the best place to start.
