how do you get a objective to be hidden and then suddenly appear???

the commands are
hide: "1" objstatus "hidden"
activate: "1" objstatus "active"

which, and many more, can be found in the official command reference. If you don't have it, get it now from the editors depot, under references. It's every editors bible ;)
